Product Description

Paf1 is a component of the Paf1 complex that was originally identified in yeast as an RNA-polymerase II (RNAP II)-associated complex. The Paf1 complex functions in multiple aspects of gene expression. Paf1 has been shown to play roles in transcript elongation, histone H2B monoubiquitination, H3 methylation, chromatin remodeling, mRNA 3’-end processing, and the coupling of transcriptional and posttranscriptional events.

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Paf1 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00378 maps to a region between residues 475 and 525 of human RNA Polymerase Associated Factor using the numbering given in TrEMBL entry Q9NUU9 (GeneID 54623).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC)1:100 - 1:500
