Rabbit anti-PARN Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A303-562A maps to a region between residue 589 and 639 of human Poly(A)-Specific Ribonuclease (Deadenylation Nuclease) using the numbering given in entry NP_002573.1 (GeneID 5073).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to PARN immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A303-562A-T maps to a region between residue 589 and 639 of human Poly(A)-Specific Ribonuclease (Deadenylation Nuclease) using the numbering given in entry NP_002573.1 (GeneID 5073).
Additional Product Information
Poly(A)-specific ribonuclease (PARN) is a 3'-exoribonuclease, with similarity to the RNase D family of 3'-exonucleases. PARN prefers poly(A) as the substrate, hence, it efficiently degrades poly(A) tails of mRNAs. Exonucleolytic degradation of the poly(A) tail is often the first step in the decay of eukaryotic mRNAs. PARN is also involved in silencing of certain maternal mRNAs during oocyte maturation and early embryonic development, as well as in nonsense-mediated decay (NMD) of mRNAs that contain premature stop codons [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 5073)].

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
