The epitope recognized by A301-968A maps to a region between residue 1551 and 1601 of human PDZ domain containing guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) 2 using the numbering given in entry NP_057424.2 (GeneID 51735).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to PDZ-GEF2 immobilized on solid support.

PDZ-GEF2 is a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) for Rap GTPases. It contains one PDZ-signaling domain, a Ras-association (RA) domain, and a region related to a cyclic nucleotide binding domain (RCBD). PDZ-GEF1 functions to catalyze the exchange of GDP for GTP and activate Rap1A, Rap1B, and Rap2B GTPase activity. PDZ-GEF2 has been shown to activate Rap1A and Rap1B to promote the maturation of cell-cell adherens junctions.

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
