Product Description

PGC-1 (PPARgamma coactivator 1) is a nuclear receptor co-activator involved in energy metabolism. PGC-1 was identified as a factor that interacted with the nuclear receptor, PPARgamma. PGC-1 functions as a docking platform for complexes involved in transcriptional regulation such as histone acetyltransferase (HAT) complexes and the TRAP/DRIP (Mediator) complex.

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to PGC-1 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00029 maps to a region between residue 250 and 300 of human peroxisome proliferative activated receptor, gamma, coactivator 1, alpha using the numbering given in SwissProt entry Q9UBK2 (GeneID 10891).

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC)1:100 - 1:500
