Product Description
PKD2 is a member of the protein kinase D (PKD) family of serine/threonine protein kinases that belongs to a subfamily of the calcium-calmodulin kinase-like superfamily. PKD2 and its family members are activated by phorbol esters and diacylglycerol generated by PKC activation. PKD2 has been demonstrated to play a role in IL-2 promoter regulation as well as IL-8 production. PKD2 may also be involved in the regulation of trans-golgi network trafficking.

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope from human PKD2 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by IHC-00570 maps to a region between residues 825 and the C-terminus (residue 878) using the numbering given in entry NP_057541.2 (GeneID 25865).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Applications
Epitope exposure is recommended.
Epitope exposure with tris-EDTA pH9.0 buffer will enhance staining.
Likely to work with frozen sections.
