Human centrosomal protein POC5 is a homolog of the C. reinhardtii POC5 (proteome of centriole 5). Human POC5 was identified in a two-hybrid screen to identify proteins interacting with centrin proteins hCen2 and hCen3. Human POC5 has been shown to be required for the assembly of full-length centrioles.

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
