Additional Product Information
Ring finger protein 2 (RNF2) is a polycomb group (PcG) protein. RNF2 has been shown to interact with, and suppress the activity of, transcription factor CP2 (TFCP2/CP2). Studies of the mouse counterpart suggest the involvement of this gene in the specification of anterior-posterior axis, as well as in cell proliferation in early development. This protein has also been found to interact with huntingtin interacting protein 2 (HIP2), an ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme, and possess ubiquitin ligase activity [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 6045)].
Alternate Names
BAP1; BAP-1; DING; E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase RING2; HIP2-interacting protein 3; HIPI3; huntingtin-interacting protein 2-interacting protein 3; protein DinG; RING finger protein 1B; RING finger protein 2; RING finger protein BAP-1; RING1B; RING2; RING-type E3 ubiquitin transferase RING2
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
