Ribosomal protein S6 kinase alpha-1 (RSK1) is a member of the RSK (ribosomal S6 kinase) family of serine/threonine kinases. RSK1 kinase contains 2 non-identical kinase catalytic domains and phosphorylates various substrates, including members of the mitogen-activated kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway. The activity of this protein has been implicated in controlling cell growth and differentiation [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (GeneID: 6195)].

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to RSK1 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by IHC-00682 maps to a region between residue 375 and 425 of human 90 kDa ribosomal protein S6 kinase 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_002944.2 (GeneID 6195).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Applications
