Product Description
Kinetechore protein SPC24 acts as a component of the essential kinetochore-associated NDC80 complex, which is required for chromosome segregation and spindle checkpoint activity. SPC24 is required for kinetochore integrity and the organization of stable microtubule binding sites in the outer plate of the kinetochore [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q8NBT2].

Production & Epitope
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to SPC24 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A304-260A maps to a region between residue 1 to 50 of human Spindle Pole Body Component 24 using the numbering given in entry NP_872319.1 (GeneID 147841).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (A120-101P).
