Product Description

TIGAR (TP53-induced glycolysis and apoptosis regulator) is a protein with sequence similarity to the bisphosphate domain of the glycolytic enzyme that degrades fructose-2,6-bisphosphate. The protein functions by blocking glycolysis and directing the pathway into the pentose phosphate shunt. Expression of this protein also protects cells from DNA damaging reactive oxygen species and provides some protection from DNA damage-induced apoptosis [taken from NCBI GeneID:57103].

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to TIGAR immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00651 maps to a region between residue 220 and 270 of human TP53-induced glycolysis and apoptosis regulator using the numbering given in entry NP_065108.1 (GeneID 57103).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC)1:100 - 1:500
