Product Description

TORC1 (transducer of regulated CREB activity 1) is part of a family of CREB (cAMP response element-binding protein) coactivators that also includes TORC2 and TORC3. These proteins function to activate CREB-dependent transcription in response to cAMP and calcium signaling pathways. The TORC family of proteins has been shown to regulate transcription of PGC-1 alpha, a regulator of mitochondrial genes.

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to TORC1 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00452 maps to a region between residue 600 and the C-terminus (residue 634) of human Transducer of Regulated cAMP Response element-binding protein 1 (CREB Regulated Transcription Coactivator 1) using the numbering given in entry NP_056136.1 (GeneID 23373 ).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with tris-EDTA pH9.0 buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC)1:100 - 1:500
