Product Description

Varp (VPS9-ankyrin-repeat protein) is also known as ankyrin repeat domain-containing protein 27 (ANKRD27). Varp may function as a Rab21 guanine exchange factor and regulate endosome dynamics [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/ Q96NW4].

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Varp immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A302-997A maps to a region between residue 225 and 275 of human Vps9 Domain and Ankyrin-Repeat-Containing Protein using the numbering given in entry NP_115515.2 (GeneID 84079).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using an anti-Rabbit IgG Light Chain HRP-conjugated antibody with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.

Immunoprecipitation (IP)6 µg/mg lysate
