Production Procedures

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to YAP1 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00665 maps to a region between residue 350 and 400 of human Yes-associated protein 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_006097.1 (GeneID 10413).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Additional Product Information

Yes-associated protein 1 (YAP1) is the human ortholog of chicken YAP protein which binds to the SH3 domain of the Yes proto-oncogene product. This protein contains a WW domain that is found in various structural, regulatory and signaling molecules in yeast, nematode, and mammals, and may be involved in protein-protein interaction [taken from NCBI GeneID:10413].

Transcriptional coactivator YAP1

Alternate Names

65 kDa Yes-associated protein; COB1; protein yorkie homolog; transcriptional coactivator YAP1; YAP; YAP2; YAP65; yes-associated protein 1; yes-associated protein 2; yes-associated protein YAP65 homolog; YKI; yorkie homolog

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
