Product Description
The Replication factor C (RFC) heteropentamer includes RFC1, RFC2, RFC3, RFC4, and RFC5. The RFC heteropentamer is part of the multiprotein DNA replicase that functions to replicate DNA prior to cell division and repair DNA damage. RFC is the clamp loader ATPase associated with the DNA replicase. As the clamp loader, RFC uses ATP to recruit, open, and close the PCNA ring to link it to DNA for replication and repair. RFC4 is the 37 kDa subunit of RFC that is part of the core complex formed with RFC2 and RFC5.

Production & Epitope
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to RFC4 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-321A maps to a region between residues 1 and 50 of human Replication Factor C subunit 4 using the numbering given in entry NP_002907.1 (GeneID 5984).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (A120-101P).
