Product Description

Cytokeratin 18 is a type I intermediate filament. Keratin 18, together with its filament partner keratin 8, are perhaps the most commonly found members of the intermediate filament gene family. They are expressed in single layer epithelial tissues of the body. [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 3875)].

Production & Epitope

Monoclonal antibody was purified from cell culture supernatant.

Immunogen was a peptide representing a region between residue 380 and the C-terminus (residue 430) of human cytokeratin 18 using the numbering given in entry NP_000215.1 (Gene ID 3875).

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots are performed using Goat anti-Mouse IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A90-216P).

Flow Cytometry (Flow Cyt)Fixed in 4% formaldehyde and permeabilized with 90% methanol. 1 µl per 1 x 10^6 cells.
Immunocytochemistry (ICC)1:100 to 1:500. Epitope retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for FFPE cell sections.
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)1:100 to 1:500. Epitope retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for FFPE tissue sections.
Western Blot (WB)1:1000
