Product Description

DNA-PKcs is the catalytic subunit of a DNA-dependent serine-threonine protein kinase (DNA-PK). DNA-PK is a heterotrimer comprised of DNA-PKcs and the Ku709/Ku86 dimer. DNA-PK is involved in DNA damage repair and V(D)J recombination. DNA-PK phosphorylates Artemis, a protein required for nonhomologous end-joining and is necessary for the loading of Artemis on damaged DNA.

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to DNA-PKcs immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00044 maps to a region between residue 2100 and 2150 of human DNA-Dependent Protein Kinase, catalytic subunit using the numbering given in entry NP_008835.5 (GeneID 5591).

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC)1:100 - 1:500
