CD31 is a cell adhesion molecule expressed mainly in platelets, endothelial cells, and a subset of leukocytes. CD31 localizes to cell-cell junctions and functions as a signaling molecule involved in a variety of vascular-related processes such as angiogenesis, platelet function, and inflammation.
