Product Description

The SWI/SNF-related, matrix-associated, actin-dependent regulators of chromatin (SMARC), also called BRG1-associated factors (BAFs), have been identified as components of the human SWI/SNF-like chromatin-remodeling protein complexes. BAF57/SMARCE1 is a core subunit found in all SWI/SNF complexes. The BAF57/SMARCE1 subunit has been demonstrated to interact with the estrogen receptor (ER) and is required for the coactivation of ER-mediated gene transcription.

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to BAF57/SMARCE1 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00129 maps to a region between residue 360 and the C-terminus (residue 411) of human BRG1-Associated Factor 57 (SWI/SNF-Related Matrix-Associated Actin-Dependent Regulator of Chromatin E1) using the numbering given in entry NP_003070.3 (GeneID 6605).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
