Product Description
MKRN1 was identified as a repressor of c-Jun, androgen receptor, and retinoic acid receptor transcriptional activity. MKRN1 is a RING zinc finger protein that has been demonstrated to function as an E3 ubiquitin ligase. The repressive activity of MKRN1 is not dependent on its ubiquitin ligase activity. MKRN1 also appears to function as a transactivator of RNA polymerase II dependent transcription.

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to MKRN1 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by IHC-00492 maps to a region between residue 432 and the C-terminus (residue 482) of human makorin, ring finger protein, 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_038474.1 (GeneID 23608).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Applications
Epitope exposure is recommended.
Epitope exposure with tris-EDTA pH9.0 buffer will enhance staining.
Likely to work with frozen sections.
In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
