PPP3CA encodes the protein phosphatase 2B (PP2B) alpha catalytic subunit. PP2B, also known as calcineurin, is a holoenzyme that is comprised of a catalytic subunit associated with regulatory subunits. PP2B is a calcium regulated enzyme that is activated by calmodulin and participates in the signaling cascades involved in development of the nervous, cardiovascular, and musculoskeletal systems.

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to PPP3CA immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by IHC-00486 maps to a region between residue 470 and the C-terminus (residue 521) of human Protein Phosphatase 3, Catalytic Subunit, Alpha isoform using the numbering given in entry NP_000935.1 (GeneID 5530).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Applications
Epitope exposure is recommended.
Epitope exposure with tris-EDTA pH9.0 buffer will enhance staining.
