Product Description
The progesterone receptor (PR) is a member of the steroid receptor superfamily that binds progesterone and is critical to all aspects of reproductive development and the establishment and maintenance of pregnancy. When bound by progesterone, PR enters the nucleus to function in gene-specific transcriptional activation. Progesterone receptor expression is regulated by estrogen. Recent studies have found that the status of the progesterone receptor in breast tumors may be an indicator of how tumors will respond to tamoxifen treatment.

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots are performed using Goat anti-Mouse IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A90-216P).
Flow Cytometry (Flow Cyt)Fixed in 4% formaldehyde and permeabilized with 90% methanol. 0.5 µl per 1 x 10^6 cells.
Immunocytochemistry (ICC)1:100 to 1:500. Epitope retrieval with citrate buffer pH6.0 is recommended for FFPE cell sections.
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)1:100 to 1:500. Epitope retrieval with citrate buffer pH6.0 is recommended for FFPE tissue sections.
