Applications

Normal goat serum can be used for non-specific blocking of surfaces, tissue, and protein in applications such as IHC, western blot, and ICC. This generally occurs by binding to Fc receptors that could interact with primary or secondary antibodies, thus causing off-target binding, or simply interacting with any other surfaces that may non-specifically bind IgGs.
