Production Procedures
Antibodies were affinity purified using epitopes specific to PLK1 immobilized on solid support.
The epitopes recognized by A300-251A maps to a region between residues 325 and 375 of human Polo-like kinase using the numbering given in SwissProt entry P53350 (GeneID 5347).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Additional Product Information
Polo-like kinase 1 (PLK1) activity is central to the progression through mitosis. PLK1 plays an essential role in spindle formation and chromosome segregation. Recent studies suggest that PLK1 is specifically involved in anaphase spindle elongation, Rho localization to the contractile ring and cytokinesis.
Alternate Names
cell cycle regulated protein kinase; PLK; PLK-1; polo (Drosophia)-like kinase; Polo-like kinase 1; serine/threonine-protein kinase 13; serine/threonine-protein kinase PLK1; STPK13
