Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Mre11 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A303-998A maps to a region between residue 658 to 708 of human Meiotic Recombination 11 using the numbering given in entry NP_005582.1 (GeneID 4361).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Mre11 is a component of the MRN complex and plays a role in telomere maintenance and double-strand break (DSB) repair. Mre11 associates with rad50 in the MRN complex. Mre11 possesses 3’– 5’ exonuclease activity that is involved in creating DNA termini in DSB suitable for priming DNA synthesis and ligation.
