Additional Product Information

Leucyl-tRNA synthetase (LARS) catalyzes the specific attachment of an amino acid to its cognate tRNA in a two step reaction: the amino acid (AA) is first activated by ATP to form AA-AMP and then transferred to the acceptor end of the tRNA. LARS exhibits a post-transfer editing activity to hydrolyze mischarged tRNAs [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q9P2J5].

Alternate Names

cytoplasmic leucyl-tRNA synthetase; cytosolic leucyl-tRNA synthetase; hr025Cl; HSPC192; ILFS1; LARS1; leucine translase; leucine tRNA ligase 1, cytoplasmic; leucine--tRNA ligase, cytoplasmic; Leucyl-tRNA synthetase; LEURS; LEUS; LFIS; LRS; PIG44; proliferation-inducing gene 44; RNTLS

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
