Additional Product Information

Stearoyl-CoA desaturase (SCD) is an enzyme involved in fatty acid biosynthesis, primarily the synthesis of oleic acid. SCD belongs to the fatty acid desaturase family and is an integral membrane protein located in the endoplasmic reticulum [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 6319)].

Alternate Names

acyl-CoA desaturase; delta(9)-desaturase; Delta-9 desaturase; FADS5; fatty acid desaturase; hSCD1; MSTP008; predicted protein of HQ0998; SCD1; SCDOS; Stearoyl-CoA desaturase; stearoyl-CoA desaturase (delta-9-desaturase); stearoyl-CoA desaturase opposite strand

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
