Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to SOX10 immobilized on solid support. The epitope recognized by A305-799A maps to a region between residue 416 and 466 of human DOM; WS4; PCWH; WS2E; WS4C using the numbering given in entry P56693.1 (GeneID 6663).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

SOX10 is a member of the SOX (SRY-related HMG-box) family of transcription factors involved in the regulation of embryonic development and in the determination of the cell fate. SOX10 may act as a transcriptional activator after forming a protein complex with other proteins. SOX10 acts as a nucleocytoplasmic shuttle protein and is important for neural crest and peripheral nervous system development [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 6663)].
