Production Procedures

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to IQGAP1 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00399 maps to a region between residue 1 and 50 of human motif containing GTPase activating protein 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_003861.1 (GeneID 8826).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Additional Product Information

IQGAP1 (IQ motif containing GTPase activating protein 1) interacts with the Rho-family GTPases, CDC42 and RAC1. It has been shown to localize to sites of cell-cell contact and regulate cadherin-mediated cell-cell adhesion. In addition to its role in cell adhesion, it is also involved in cell polarization and migration.

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate or tris-EDTA pH9.0 buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
