Production Procedures

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to rpL7a/SURF3 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00454 maps to a region between residue 215 and the C-terminus (residue 266) of human Ribosomal Protein L7a using the numbering given in entry NP_000963.1 (GeneID 6130).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00454-T maps to a region between residue 215 and the C-terminus (residue 266) of human Ribosomal Protein L7a using the numbering given in entry NP_000963.1 (GeneID 6130).

Additional Product Information

rpL7a /SURF3 is a component of the 60S ribosomal subunit. Ribosomes are composed of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit that function to catalyze protein synthesis. RpL7a is a member of the L7AE family of ribosomal proteins that has been identified as a protein that interacts with nuclear receptors by interfering with DNA binding and transactivation. The RpL7A gene is included in the surfeit gene cluster and is designated SURF3.

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with tris-EDTA pH9.0 buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
