Production Procedures

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to NCOA5/CIA immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00476 maps to a region between residue 525 and the C-terminus (residue 579) of human Nuclear Receptor Coactivator 5 (Coactivator Independent of AF-2) using the numbering given in entry NP_066018.1 (GeneID 57727).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00476-T maps to a region between residue 525 and the C-terminus (residue 579) of human Nuclear Receptor Coactivator 5 (Coactivator Independent of AF-2) using the numbering given in entry NP_066018.1 (GeneID 57727).

Additional Product Information

NCOA5 (Nuclear Receptor Coactivator 5), also known as CIA (Coactivator Independent of AF-2 function), has been shown interact exclusively with estrogen receptor alpha (ERalpha) and beta (ERbeta) to function as a coactivator and enhance transcriptional activation by ER. NCOA5 has also been demonstrated to function as a corepressor of MYC/c-myc in response to 17-beta estradiol.

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with tris-EDTA pH9.0 buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
