Production Procedures

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to IP3R3 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00639 maps to a region between residue 625 and 675 of human inositol 1, 4,5-triphosphate receptor, type 3 using the numbering given in entry NP_002215.2 (GeneID 3710).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Additional Product Information

IP3R3 (inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate receptor type 3) is an intracellular calcium release channel that mediates calcium release from the endoplasmic reticulum. There are 3 mammalian IP3R receptors: IP3R1, IP3R2, and IP3R3. IP3R3 has been shown to play a role in olfactory mucus secretion and in the taste perception of sweet, savory (umami), and bitter substances.
