Production Procedures

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to CASC3 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00690 maps to a region between residue 653 and 703 of human cancer susceptibility candidate 3 using the numbering given in entry NP_031385.2 (GeneID 22794).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Additional Product Information

Cancer susceptibility candidate gene 3 protein (CASC3) is a core component of the exon junction complex (EJC), a protein complex that is deposited on spliced mRNAs at exon-exon junctions and functions in nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD). The encoded protein binds RNA and interacts with two other EJC core components. CASC3 is predominantly located in the cytoplasm, but shuttles into the nucleus where it localizes to nuclear speckles [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (GeneID: 22794)].

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
